Filmmaking is my vocation. I make films about social issues.
I’m a director, producer, cameraman and editor.
Over the past few years I have made films about drugs and alcohol addiction, criminal justice, poverty, social cohesion, faith and religion, disability, heritage, leadership, youth-work, social care, animal welfare and parenting. I’ve directed successful shoots in Africa, Asia and throughout the UK.
Some of the well known organisations that I have worked for include: Family Action, ITV, WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals), Leicester Probation Trust, NSPCC, Catch-22, The British Council, Current TV, Leicester City Council, Warwickshire County Council, SDSA (Schools Development Support Agency), DEA (Development Education Association), EM Media. I also work for many other smaller organisations, creative agencies and production companies.
My office is at LCB Depot in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter.
When I’m not making films I love to watch documentaries. In partnership with my local arts cinema I run Leicester Documentary Club. Doc-Club is for enthusiasts of documentaries, we meet every other month to watch feature documentaries from around the world. These viewings are followed by a discussion and a social evening. Come along sometime.
I’m married to Julia and we live in Leicester.
